Mythology & Divine Legends

According to Hindu mythology, Lord Vishnu incarnated as Venkateswara to guide humanity in the Kali Yuga. Sage Bhrigu insulted Lord Vishnu by kicking his chest during a divine test. In response, Goddess Lakshmi left Vaikuntha and descended to Earth. Vishnu followed in the form of Srinivasa and resided in the Seshachalam hills. His divine wedding to Padmavati is commemorated at the temple.
